What is a UNITY file?
A Unity file is a 3D scene file created with the 3D Gaming engine, Unity. It is used in combination with other scenes to create a virtual world while editing. It contains 3D scene elements such as objects, environments, decorations, cameras, angles information, lighting scenarios, and obstacles.
Unity files can be opened with Unity Technologies Unity. Unity can also read Unity .fbx, .dae (Collada), .3ds, .dxf, and .obj files.
UNITY File Format
Unity files are stored to disc in binary file format. These are generated and used alongside other scenes during editing. Unity is used to develop games for Windows as well as Mac OS X, and can be used to build 3D games for th eweb, Nintendo Wii, iPhones, or standalone applications.
