What is a POBI file?
A POBI file belongs to the eBook file type; is actually a Kindle Touch Periodical Data. This file format is also known as periodical MOBI; used in Amazon Kindle Touch e-reading device. Although the file type of POBI files is an eBook we can’t say the file with .pobi extension as an eBook; because it doesn’t have the content like an eBook. It just contains the data like a magazine and it works like a MOBI file. However, if the extension .pobi will be changed to .mobi then the sections and articles index of the magazine will not appear.
Problems to open a POBI file
If you are not being able to open and run the POBI file; it doesn’t mean that you do not have suitable software installed on your device. There might be some other issues that prevent the file to work properly. The possible problems might be one of the following:
- Corruption of a POBI file.
- Wrong links to the POBI file in registry entries.
- Deleted description of the POBI from the Windows registry
- Corrupted installation of an application that supports the POBI format
- An infected POBI file with undesirable malware.
- The computer does not have sufficient hardware resources to operate the POBI file.
- Drivers used by the computer to open a POBI file are outdated.
